What a load of [censored]. Variety is the spice of life. I don't listen to much rap, for example, but I don't want it to disappear off the face of the earth. smile.gif

Agent, which bit of the article did you disagree with? I thought it was pretty fair really. Just because clubbing isn't as popular as it used to be, doesn't mean we have to be all defensive about it.

Of course guitar music is coming back, these things all happen in phases. Rock music has been around for ages, it's hardly going to disappear forever.

The only bit I particularly disagreed with is that "Dance as a music genre has been explored in all its variants and it is difficult to find anything innovative." I think there is a fair bit of mileage left over, but as with rock music, innovations with be more a case of "mixing X & Y" rather than inventing a whole new genre "Z".

But, as the author rightly acknowledges, the majority of the "new generation" of clubbers are not so interested in diversity and innovation! shrug.gif

Ok ill have another read later but this line sticks in my mind

'The superclub phenomenon has stalled'

I do agree with it to an extent but im sure all Frantic events are sold out the last HHA they were turning people away...

But in contradiction to what i just said there are more and more smaller clubs that perhaps are taking people away from the bigger clubs so clubbing is still popular
