just installed this and it sounds much like my nova. looks like im not really gonna use my nova much anymore (not that i really used it anyway, cos it doesnt hold a candle up to my Virus)..

 

its nice to have a bit of a mess around with. i always thought the the K-stastion was a nova clone, but after looking at it, its missing a few of the nova/supernova parameters (mainly sync and modulation stuff). not a bad synth//

 

cant understand why Novation have done this..

who is gonna buy a K-station now? talk about putting themselves out of buisiness..idiots.

yeah i guess everything is going to go software based now - especially as laptops are getting so much faster and more reliable (I read recently that Intel will have at least 20Ghz processors out in 6 years time!), so many darn plugins out now - all finally rivaling their hardware counterparts - hard to keep up with the rate they are being released though, and thats just the virtual synths! as for effects - its madness - there's even an app out I believe which lets you create your own virtual synths/plugins.

 

The one I'm most impressed with so far is SampleTank2 & Absynth ! And as for NativeInstruments - they've cornered practically every market in the plugin arena !

Ive been toying with the idea of getting the v station too, Ive heard good reports so far.

I do, but im getting bits and bobs for the pc as I go along. Just messing about and getting to grips with things. Have cubase set up with a few shitty soft synths etc. Thought this might be a good addition to move on a step.

Excellent vst...have been using it for some time now

just realised last night that its only got two filters, which is a bit crap, but nev mind...lol
