Same here, these companies aint stupid.

I'm joined to the Communications Workers Union, they work out the best package for you with the company. The same Union the Post Office Workers are with who got their package they wanted. What industry you in ?

I've just found out that I are trying to [censored] me in the arse. Because of my age, I'm not entitled to statuatory redundancy pay even though I've been with this company for five years. They're saying I can have jan/feb wages plus 5 weeks extra. Cunts.

YOU ARE ENTITLED TO REDUNDANCY PAY !!!!

I was made redundant with a huge company that I worked for a few years ago.

To young you say ? I was 17 !! and I had all my redundancy pay !

Tell them your guna [censored] them in the arse and you will get that money from them mad.gif

That is your redundancy pay. Unless your contract specifies additional redundancy pay, the standard amount is a week's pay for every year you've been working there.

I was made redundant in 2002 and only got one week notice & no redundancy pay (because I'd only been in the company for just under two years) so count yourself lucky!

Bummer eh Crill ... but like's been said ... now is the time to do what YOU want .. go for it, try what ever it is you want to do, you can always fall back on what you've learnt in I.T. if things don't go to plan.

Good luck kisscheek.gif
