I dont totally agree with what your saying Kether, your last part, yes, but the first, not entirely, yeh sure peeps arent nice all the time, unfortunately, as humans we cant be, a natural flaw if you like, but this does not warrent being a piss taker, IMO, if I think someone is a knob, it is far easier to ignore than to abuse!!! Same as it is easier to ignore piss takers than to retaliate!!

i agree. there's a clue in the definition of the word "an exclusive circle or group of persons"

 

so cliques tend - by definition - to seek to exclude others. there are a million reasons why this might be the case.

 

as far as i can tell, the word clique is bandied around CTW as something of an insult so often that it's lost any currency it ever had.
