Anyone been or still into this scene?

 

I know it tends to be less 'clubbier' types and more crusty (soz, don't mean the word offensivly) types ie; dreadlocks and knitted dear stalker hats types of people.

 

But I went to a couple last year and really enjoyed them . Acid trance and other tribal sounds were banging away from 10 til 6/7am, I loved them.

 

I want to find more, but they are quite rare even here in Yorkshire, I only know of three last year..

 

 

Is there an info line or something that anybody knows of? (don't post it up though) ((would defeat the object I think)).

 

 

 

 

Any of you ever been? Did you enjoy it? What music was playing??

A few summers ago I was seeing a guy who knew a lot of people into this scene and they used to have parties around the woodlands of surrey every other week. Its so much more exciting than clubbing, cos first you have to ring the number and get vague directions then you have to spend hours driving round straining to hear some kind of bassline so when you finally do get there its so good.

 

Unfortunately I split up with guy so no longer get to hear about them I think they still go on though

If the wether is right, then it's all good !

squatter parties are wicked...there's un official raves held in some places near here every now and again -

 

none of the b/s with cloakrooms, and diving into the loo's for stuff...

 

Also being able to visit ur car outside the 'club' is nice.

'Back in the day' i went to spiral tribe and bedlam parties, they were cool

my cousin helps organise a yearly one. Didnt happen last yr cos some dappy woman (another of the organisers) phoned up the council and asked wat they wud do if they had it on a certain day in a certain field and there were no portaloos or other sanitation.

 

well with the council having found out the police were going to be there b4 it was set up.

 

the year b4 it was [censored] weather and they managed to have bout 500 people but its norm a lot more apparently.

 

something along those lines. He was gonna get me a gig at that as well. Never mind. It may happen this summer.
