I tell you what, I was having a little peek through the forums and I noticed this thread. *SOUTHPORT WEEKENDER* was it's title.

'Fuck me!', I thought - the people on CTW have finally *grown up* and got into the more soulful side of house music - 'at last', I thought, 'finally an event I'm going to be at that some of my old clubbing mates will be at too'.

 

But no, disappointment came as soon as I read the first post. Alas, I won't be at this Southport Weekender ... but I will be at THE Southport Weekender on the 5/6/7th November at the same location.

 

No line up has even been announced yet, but it will be all sold out before it is - guaranteed. If you ever feel the need to dabble in (dare I say it) 'proper music', this is the only place to go.

TUT .. here's me thinking you were going on about THE Southport weekender ... (Nov 5th weekend) ... 17 years it's been going ... how many weekenders can say that?

It's with great sadness that Come Together Events ltd have Decided to cancel the forthcoming weekender.

 

This decision was taken because of operational, business and personnel reasons

 

It’s become obvious to us over the last week or so that that due to operational difficulties we were going to be unable to put on the event as planned.

 

We tried to look at working with People to bring a scaled down event, however certain Parties were unable to help us on this, we also felt that this would devalue the event and cheat all of you who have paid for chalets already.

 

Therefore a decision was taken to cancel the event,

 

All Customers will gain a full refund plus free entry into a Promise, Goodgreef event of their choice*

 

This decision will not affect future Come Together parties and we are looking forward to next year’s parties with excitement and anticipation.

 

All refunds will be automatically credited back to those who have bought tickets in the next few days

 

*Excluding bank holidays + birthday events
