Funky house is becoming really popular in Liverpool, is it elsewhere and what do people think of it?

I have been listening to Funky house SOLID for the past two weeks or so ! Also, I have downloaded quite a fair bit of Funky of late, too.

 

Think I need a change of scenery when it comes to clubs, once in a while !

 

I will venture Liverpool at some point - have always wanted to go up that way and check out the clubbing scene !

 

Just need to gather the right crowd together

Well mate you would really like it up here and if your looking for funky house try Garlands or Society but many of the smaller bars & clubs are playing funky house now, at last we are getting rid of that scouse house shite they all play!

I think its utter crap. Everyone dresses the same. The majority are stuck up wankers who try and look better than everyone else. And whats with the return of the mullet??? People only like it cos every hardhouse event has a funky house backroom. It boring, slow, tedious...

any good recommendations, of some filthy, dirty, sleazy house then?? something that'll go down well in an 11pm set, say at HHA???

its all house at the end of the day

i find alot of funky house completely 1 dimentional. its all about "my house is more funky than yours". music like that pisses me right off.

 

i like good creative house, be it with a funky groove or not

absolutely fantastic with some squelching grinding bass lines...

 

and it honestly is exactly the same as they play at the club. Restores my faith in house after all this hands in the air stuff...

is it mixed???
