and we've missed out Keelhauling him, where you were tied hand and foot, and dragged back first, perpendicular to the keel from the port to the starboard, 1 or more times.. being flayed, on the underside, against the wood and the barnacles...mmm and half drowned at the sametime...Or fully drowned if they took their time. Not in the song as it wasn't something the sailors liked to dwel over.

 

That's the problem with the modern day royal and merchant navys, they've gone all soft, turning their backs (ho ho) on effective disciplinary methods.
