Was just reading yesterday that the UK has sold the Sudan hundreds of tons of weapons over the past 3 years.

 

The very same weapons the Janjawid (or Janjaweed if you read the sun) are using to massacre their own people.

 

Which is nice.

 

Doesn't it make you so proud that we arm 3rd world countries to the teeth.

Sick isn't it. But we've been doing it pretty well for the last 30 years.

 

Here is a shortened list:

 

Britain provided weapons to the Tamil Tigers in the 1970's

 

The Iranian ayatollah regime during the Iraq-Iran war. We also supplied the Iraqi's with weapons at the same time so they could kill eachother off. Its good for business don't you know!

 

We helped build the parts for the Iraqi supergun (was luckily never put into action).

 

We provided arms to the Indonisian government wehen they invaded East Timor.

 

The list is endless.

If we had not given them anything they would still be firing slingshots at each other.

I agree 100% with you mate. Thats the way the worlds turns. And money makes it turn that little bit faster.

 

Even the American defence companies are making huge bucks equiping the new Iraqi army!!!! What a crazy world we live in.
