The undisputed king of software synths just got a massive update. Can Omnisphere 3 still cut it all these years on?

I have a confession to make. In all my years of making music, I have never used nor played with Spectrasonics Omnisphere. Despite almost everyone else on the planet having done so, and having been told countless times how good it is, I just haven’t been drawn to it.

Maybe this is because I own a shedload of other plugins, or maybe the unwavering price of Omnisphere has sometimes put me off. I can’t tell you, honestly. However, I cannot deny how impressive it seems, and now, it has just received a huge, nay, massive update. Is this where my resolve breaks? Let’s see what Omnisphere 3 has going for it...
