If you would be interested in becoming an official CTW photographer and benefitting from free entry to specific events (+ potentially other perks) please can you PM me. You must obviously have a digital camera. 

I can't get to as many events as I would like but I'm keen to our galleries are kept up-to-date with fresh content on a weekly basis.

i have a digital camcorder that takes photos, but i'm not sure that it would be allowed into events as some nights can be very arsey about camcorders

If you actually doing it on behalf of the site though, you can e:mail some clubs with a run down on why you want to take pictures, and some actually oblige !

 

The more who can participate in this, the better.

Ben - most of the time I'm able to clear it although not entirely sure about camcorders - although i'm sure clubs will start changing their policies soon - especially when its for sites who can promote them well.

 

Let me know where you are going/when and I'll start contacting the clubs direct.

if they allow my camcorder in then i'm defo up for it, but am not going out that much atm so can't guarantee taking all that many photos, but when i do go out i would be more than willing to take photos and do a review or whatever for the site

 

and if i can't take my camcorder i will try to borrow my dads digital camera for it instead

I think with certain events and taking pictures, if you talk to the promoter about doing a review and taking pictures, they can arrange a photo pass for you

also is there any chance of some ctw cards, if i take photos of people then it would be best if i gave them a card so they can find the photos

Cards are a very good idea. Does CTW have any and would members be willing to have some sent to them to hand out?

Yes we now have cards and I'm in the process of sending them out to those who are reviewing, photographing or attending many events - currently there is a limit to how many can be sent out due the expense I'm afraid.

You said that you want the photos to be mostly of ctw members, a lot of the time I go out with people who aren't on ctw.

 

Does that make photos I take invalid?

Kether - obviously anyone in a picture is a potential member in either case - I guess what I was saying was that first and foremost it would be ideal if the photo sets were of the meets we've arranged - so we can promote the site's concept as best as we can - rather than just have a load of photo sets of people we dont know / making the site membership look incorrectly bigger than it really is.

 

That said for the big festivals etc. I think its important to get a good spread of photos to promote the event itself so that next time round we arrange something like Dance Valley for instance people will want to go as the photos have enticed them to go.

 

So to re-word what I've said prior to this I think we need;

 

1. Photo sets of members

2. Photo sets of new events

3. Photo sets of clubbers who are potentially interested in joining the site (i.e. we've spoken to them about the site and handed out a card)

 

Any other ideas on this are welcome - we just need to keep the gallery up to date, but not just adding random pics which will be viewed once...
