I am currently waiting for an NTL Engineer to come to my house and install broadband in my bedroom.

 

Although the time scheduled is between 12:00 - 17:00, although I aint gona be here from 14:30 onwards. I bet they come at 16:55 ! :@

well if you have to wait as long as you do on the bloody phone for them, you are in for a long one

Apparently in some other countries (where they actually have some standards of customer service) it is much more common to be given a specific time.

 

Alas, over here a 5 hour window seems to be pretty standard fare!

I did manage to ring them earlier, and only waited around 3 minutes woud you BELIEVE ! I asked them would it be possible to get in touch with the appropriate engineer and come earlier as I have to leave my house this afternoon. They said they woudl try.
