i've just installed service pack 2 onto my p.c. It took a long time to load up

after restarting, has anyone else installed it? Has anyone had any problems with it?

What is service pack 2?

its a windows update which is going to be a MUST for all PCS its full of security things to stop hackers and the likes but it caused havoc with my PC to the tune of £100

Do you have to up date then? if so how?

If your using XP pro or Home, go to Windows Update. Before going ahead, just make sure nothing will stop working when you install SP2.

could I have that in an easy step by step guide please Alex

Click on your "Start" menu, then click on "Control Panel", then on the left hand side of the screen, look for a box called "See Also" then click on "Windows Update".

what anti virus u got ? I have norton and I think that is what is causing my problems????

I downloaded it as suggested, then it popped up about installing etc and to back up system. By the time I read the stuff, it dissapeared

 

so has it installed or will it do it next time I satrt up my pc or should I try it again?

it takes ages to d/load so i would imagine it aint doing it yet ...try again

Well yeah, it does take a while, and it's a BIG file !
