Did you see that surreal sci-fi film at the weekend, Battlefield Earth?

Rather an unusual role for JT!

Haha ... obviously that film was never going to win any awards, and I'm not really a sci-fi fan, but it was quite imaginitive and surreal. At least the film didn't take itself too seriously like a lot of very bad sci-fi. It did have a cool "comic-book" feel to it which I liked.

Haha, was it the thick-rimmed NHS glasses and anorak?

Nah I am not really into sci-fi at all. I do like Red Dwarf, but I like it on a "parody of sci-fi" level. smile.gif

It's based on the stories by L. Ron Hubbard. L. Ron Hubbard being the man behind "Scientology", of which John Travolta is a firm subscriber to the beliefs. JT helped gather the funding and a studio to back the film.
