always a hot topic of conversation but technically speaking karim's productions are not always great. They may sound good in a club, but they aren't too great on a home system which could be fixed easily by properly producing it with mastering etc, which a good producer should do.

Some of his productions are top notch tho and bang on, but overall i don't rate him as they are very hit and miss

"Producing it with mastering", LOL! smile.gif

I agree though, that it's always a shame when a potentially good tune is slightly let down by the production. However, better than the other way round -- uninspired tunes produced well -- "polished turd" syndrome?

Ben, what is so good about BK? Can you recommend some of his best tracks? I've only heard a few and though produced well, they were completely disposable.

Liam Howlett

Felix da Housecat

Jaques le cont

Georgio Moroder

I've definitely heard the first two of those and thought they were naff.

I'll give them another listen though, and see if my opinion has changed.

The "Original mix" of each, right?
