avp is fucking awful!

cant think of a single good thing to say about it except that (thankfully) it doesnt last very long!!

 

 

Shark Tale is unholy guff, especially compared to Finding Nemo. The Will Smith character, Oscar, was plain annoying with no endearing qualities, the Godfather/Mafia references were overdone and embarrassing, it left me with a sense of so-fucking-what

LOLOL! That's a pretty geeky criticism! Hardly has a major bearing on the film does it..?

 

I saw AvP and I'm glad I went to watch it. It does spiral into disposable action film territory as it progresses, and TBH the tension has diminished a tad by the finale. But there are some stunning and imaginative moments. I love the scene starting with the imprisoned queen 'defrosting' (without wanting to give away too much)... and the way you gradually realise they are doing with her. Very twisted!

 

The alien-on-predator fights were also very well done. Shame it tailed off a little after that. Silly ending, but cool nonetheless!

 

Worth seeing I reckon.
