Creamfields returns to the Old Liverpool Airfield August Bank Holiday weekend on Saturday 23rd August. This year’s event brings together genre breaking pioneers across the dance music spectrum. Following last weeks headline announcement, today we are pleased to announce the full line up for this year’s award winning festival bill.
Creamfields continues to push boundaries to keep its festival fresh, last year they added the enormous Live Outdoor Stage with a stunning rainbow over the Liverpool waterfront as its backdrop with electrifying sets from Underworld, Kosheen and Faithless. This year the Outdoor Stage returns and will be the platform for one of the UK’s most legendary bands…Massive Attack. Paul Oakenfold (who voted Creamfields 2002 as his favourite gig of the year) returns to the loving embrace to perform what will undoubtedly be a very special set along with another former Cream Resident Nick Warren, they will be joined by U.N.K.L.E. Sounds and Gus Gus (Live) and will be performing in front of the sea of people on the Outdoor stage to create what will be one of THE moments of the Summer.
Creamfields this year brings together 10 arenas hosted by Radio One Outdoor Stage, Bugged Out! Cream Future Trance, Radio One Essential Mix, Frantic & Nukleuz present Hardware, Subliminal, Sunday Best, the return of the Chill Out Arena, Mixmag Future Heroes, and the Strongbow Rooms,
Last year, new hosts at the festival included Frantic & Nukleuz & Subliminal, both of these arenas were total roadblock from start to finish, this year they will be bigger but get there early so you don’t miss out. This year new friends joining the Cream family will be the Essential Mix Arena, the big boys come together in this years debut arena and include Sasha, Timo Maas, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela and Paul Bleasdale. Continuing to search and nurture fresh talent Cream join forces with Mixmag to host a festival first that is the Mixmag Future Heroes Arena featuring DJ’s from clubs such as Inside Out, Promise, GoodGreef and North Gathering.
The kings of Ibiza, Tiesto and Paul Van Dyk will be flying back from their Cream Ibiza residency at Amnesia especially to perform in this years colossal Cream Arena, they will be joined by Fergie, Armin Van Buuran, Tall Paul, Ferry Corsten, Guy Ornadel and John Askew.
Back by demand the Sunday Best household return, bringing some added fun to the day, they will be entertaining until midnight under the guise of the ‘Sunday Best Cabaret’ with guest appearances from the Cuban Brothers and friends to be announced, at the stroke of midnight we turn things down a touch to create the ‘Sunday Best Chill Out’…a perfect end to a perfect day.
It’s Creamfields. It’s about producing the most exciting, exhilarating festival experience with the most up for it crowd of the festival season.
