After three enormously successful years at Space we have moved to Leeds’s newest and most innovative club, Mission, housed in 5 Victorian railway arches just opposite Fibre. Not only is our venue brand spanking new but so are some of our Residents, Filthy Rich and Hatty Lovehearts will be in the funky room and Caroline Banx who will be joining myself (Butch) and Jez & Charlie in the Hard room. Last year Base was voted as North’s busiest midweek hard dance student night in Mixmag and we intend to keep it that way with some amazing headline DJ’s. Our next instalment sees Nukleuz’s Ed Real drop in along with Jon Rundell. Ed runs his own night in London called RIOT where Jon also DJ’s on a regular basis. Both of these guys have a huge following down south and are well respected all over the world, we know there gonna rip it up for all our base regulars. They will be preceded by Jez n Charlie and followed by the queen of filth, Caroline Banx. +++Stop Pres+++ Base will be visiting Cypher in Leeds on November 7th with Butch D, Gilly and Caroline Banx all taking part. More details to follow……… Our pre-bar continues to be at one of the smartest bars in Leeds, Fibre, opening our doors at 8pm til midnight and it won’t cost a penny to get in! Each week the proceedings begin with either Filthy Rich or Jez & Charlie who are closely followed by myself in what is now the only Hardhouse pre-bar in Leeds. Paul Devereaux is a name you should recognise from clubs like 2 Kinky, BCM and Glasshouse and after a year away he’s back! He will be making his debut at Fibre this week playing some classic trance to warm the cockles on a cold autumn evening. Base membership is now available. Sadly I have to inform you that this gig looks unlikely to happen now. I have been trying to contact Paddy (The promoter) to finalise details. He has been completely un-contactable for weeks. This event was suuposedly being run by The Howard and Insomniacz, so I got in touch with Tom from somz who knew nothing about this. IT MUST POINT OUT THIS IS NOT TOMS FAULT! (or mine). I got in touch with the clubs owner Jimmy (Play 2) he he told me that he informed Paddy that there was no room for his event this summer, and that was at the start of the season!!! It appears that we have been told a pack of lies and this event was never even gonna happen. However Play 2's owner Jimmy may be able to sort something out, we wont know until we get there though. If any DJ was planning to fly out directly for this gig I must apologise but this gig is not likely to happen, We may be able to sort something out but I can't guarantee it just yet. On a more positive note we have arranged something with Extreme Euphoria and hope to have some gigs for that and Lashed very soon. If anyone wants to discuss this further please call me on 07787 568 560, I hope this doesnt spoil anyones plans too much.

Just had some very distressing news, the whole dance arena has now been cancelled due to the council disagreeing over the dance tent licence. I can only apologise to getting anyone's hopes up, this was meant to be a fun day out for us all. Once again fate has managed to rob me of my fun (and finances). Very sorry folks but the party is off.

This will be damn fine day out, and at only £3 to go see us and Andy Farley play in beautiful Wales who can complain.
