Cheers, I may call on you. I live in Iowa which is ban in the middle. Mostly farming really. But there is a real underground rave culture here. I went to a halloween party last weekend and it was pretty good. Mostly house music and DnB. One trance DJ but he was really really progressive. I lean to the harder style. I was chatting to the promoter and he asked for a CD which I am putting together this week. HOpefully summat will come of it. All the kids at the party were well into it all though. It was like being surrounded by people who had just taken their first ever pill. Kinda cool actually

Yea, and what you have to think about is how important is it really to recording companys anyway. Most major record labels must realise that there is a gold pot of unsung talent out there who have become really good just doing what they do at home. Why dont you try to get an intership at a record label??

Good point. My mate did a course on music production at the Manchester Midi School that was 2,700 for 6 months, he only had 1 lecture a week!

I once tried to write something for Uni last year in Manchester. My first essay. I took it in and my seminar tutor said he thought I has quit and in any case if not I had been thrown out.

Having been to this rave over here in America I was chatting to the organiser, I noticed a lack of proper hard house/trance. There were DJs representing almost every other genre. So I decided that I would gve it a stab. The problem is that hardly anyone knows what hard house is here. So the record shops dont stock anything. Some good advice on tunes and good websites to get them at would be mucho helpful so I can rock the masses over here. Thanks, Chris

I got to got o passion for the first time last July just before I moved to the States. Loads of my mates in Manc are from the Leicester area. My mate Will played in the Red Room and Derrick Carter was in the Main room. It was Global night so not v busy. Nevertheless. Had a [censored] wicked night. Afterwards we drove back to manc in time to see Andy and Asa play a blinding 4 deks 2 mixers set at addiction... or maybe I was blinded by all the Ket!!

Hi kids!! As you may or may not know, I recently had to move to the USA from my beloved Manchester. . I was well gutted coz there wasnt a decent dance music scene out here. But I finally found some people who were into it and went to my first rave. It was actually quite good. Although the Yanks have a hell of a lot of catching up to do. The attitude of the people was like the UK was years ago. Everything was so brand new to them and they were all really friendly. There was none of the arrogant I know more than you do [censored] that you some times get in the UK. My guess is if they ever relax about their drug laws over here we may just be onto some thing. Have any of you been to a rave or party over here. What was your experience like??? Chris
