Dont miss out on the 15th for Carl Cox @ Brixton Academy, A true One-off show to be unrivaled by any other event on that weekend. A legendary DJ playing four hours in the true cult venue that is the academy. what more could you all want. $18 ticks still available from dirtygroove website ot through one of their crew(i.e. me, right now) This IS going to be heavy!!! -
whats up everyone, just to let you know i am going to be in Edinburgh from the 14th to 17th of July, am looking for a few good nights out, if anyone has any suggestions or more access to local listings and can reccommend anything or if anyone has a sudden urge to shoot to scotland for the weekend let me know!! ha ha. hello everyone. Am planning on going to Edinburgh at some stage durig the summer for a weekend, and have been trawling website looking for info on good clubs, bars, events and djs etc... So far nothing has turned up. Glasgow looks the better of the two cities but Edinburgh is where i am headed. If anyone has any info, suggestions, thoughts or comments about the city and its nightlife could you share the love/knowledge as i would be eternally grateful! FFFFFFF Freano

yeah they will deffo be commerically available as it where. Tracking them down on vinyl is the key i suppose, still quite fresh tracks so only tyhe big dj's like Pete Tong have em, but i find if you can get tunes of soulseek or elsewhere on the net they are usually available in other countries to buy but maybe not here yet, if you see what i am getting at. I try and download most tunes before i buy em anyway to give em a good listen before i buy on 12".

Big up the breaks followers. A genre where there is so much scope for development and change. A break from the 4/4 beat and a sound that can encompass some many different facets. Got to big up my boy Adam Freeland and Evil Nine, 2 excellent DJ's and producers as im sure you are all aware. Marine Parade records is def worth checking out. Other dons of breaks that need to be bigged up include Rennie Pilgrem and Tayo. These boys know how to get a crowd begging for more trust me. If anyone in the midlands in interested in more breaks, a phat night i frequent is Firefly in Nottingham, swaps between breaks nights and more techno focused nights, see press for details really. Freeland Fabric live 16 album is worth checking out as it has some incredible tunes, and of course comes in the fancy fabric metal case. Respect to Plumps, Stanton Warriors, Freestylers and Meat Katie etc... All top dogs.

Plenty of Drinks Promo's on the night with DJ's Freano , OSM & Hankus The night is all about the music, lots of underground sounds with a distintive TechTrance edge.

Well done Ikon. Would say meet you there but we both know it aint gonna happen as it will be a crazy night! To many people and a venue we dont know. Cypress Hill and 50 cent are offical support acts, I presume D12 will perform anyway with Eminem, hope they do anyways! You never know who else could turn up from his cru. Nice! Will be doing plenty of this too me thinks -->

When it comes to picotto and his decks, minus 8 becomes normal speed and where plus 8 is becomes plus 16. an old dave angel trick. Another turntable will have to do well do knock technics off as the industry standard, vestax are trying and i like them. If you have the option of tricks why not use them and do something no other joe bloggs DJ is doing and play. I love vestax for tricks etc, a god mixer helps too though. There is a lot of torque and the speed fader is alot more sensitive for inch perfect mixing. like any deck if you are used to something and like it why change. I am open to technics and vestax as i have neither but use both regularly. Give your tools a chance, get to know how they [censored] and reap the benefits eventually.
