frantic vs wildchild
#1 Why exactly do you care if the lad stayed 3 hours or all night? He's obviously young and was very excited about the clubbing experience he had in London. Why not simply say, "Glad you had a good one! Next time stay longer and you'll love it even more!" #2 Churches that have "masses" would typically be Catholic churches and he is a Mormon. Thus, as with most Protestants church services are on Sunday. #3 I rarely post on this board and even more rarely do I reply to anything you write, but in this case, as with other times, you have an uncanny ability to irritate me and inspire me to defend someone who I don't even know. Ah............the joys of message boards, I suppose

Hey Maria, Thanks for the kind words. Just sitting here at work waiting for winter holidays (I teach high school and it lets out next friday) and still mourning the re-election of George Bush. On that note, don't blame me, I voted for the other guy! Anyway, finding good clubbing and music can be quite a chore here in the states. Mainstream America still seems to be fascinated by vacuous teen pop and the club scene is a whole 'nother story. Did manage to see Armand van helden and Max Graham recently. Anyway, I'm droning and should probably work

Hey, thanks (I think ) for noticing my presence. I'm one of those lurkers who have now been roused from our hiding spots with the new forum rules. I posted some (a wee amount, really) on the old board after lurking on it for really an embarrasingly long time (since '02 I think). Anyway, when everything turned over I was just too lazy to put a new post up in new members. In any case, I'm American, live in Texas (please don't blame me for George Bush) and listen primarily to trance and funky house. We really don't have a hard house scene--at least not as extensive and well supported as the UK's. Actually, the overall scene is not as extensive as the UK's though in some cities like NY, LA, Miami, and, in Texas, Dallas there are some good DJ's. I usually just wait to catch my favorite international DJ's on their semi-regular US tours--like PVD, Tiesto, Sasha, Digweed, etc. These shows are a really big deal to us because we lack anything remotely close to resembling the UK and Euro festival circuit. It just does not exist for the most part. Anyway, now I'm rambling but what's funny is that I've frequented this board for so long that I'm basically addicted and I have no idea why!!! I mean I don't even know you people and yet and I get on this board nearly every day and track the comings and goings. What can I say? I'm a total dork and really need to get out more--or at least spend more work time doing actual work.

Sasha - Involver
Didn't really like this at first but it has grown on me. Moves along somewhat slowly through roughly the first half, albeit in a very sophisticated manner. Picks up a nice driving groove through remainder of album. Saw him about a month ago before hearing this album and that "driving groove" (sorry for non-specific vagueness) was a prime element of most of his set. BTW, title must relate to the fact that each song has been remixed by Sasha and then incorporated into the mix which is the album--thus the synthesis of studio production and the traditional DJ mix. Anyway, the album works for me whether I be driving, drinking at a party, or engaging in sweet late night lovemaking--you know, all the important things.
