WTF is going on in your avatar...? lol
7. 1-its not a problem... just an occasional irritation.... 2-my sig is progressing nicely.
8. that pattern looks FuNkY btw.... sheesh! remember that there is a snare or a clap every second beat... maybe that'll help u.... 155071 its 5 identical patterns quantised differently to show that the notes dont line up.... NOT 1 pattern
9. 5 identical rhythm patterns. Top one is bang on time to every 16th of a bar. (Heavily quantised) bottom one is very loosly quantised. each one has more 'shuffle' added as you go down. if a record has two busy parts that have different degrees of shuffle applied to them, when you are in the mix it may appear that the record needs correction in the mix, even tho it is in fact in time. these records can be a pain. Hope this explains it.
10. was being sarky... apologies tiesto tracks have very loosely quantized percussion tracks, it makes them sometimes sound out when they are actually in. eg Nyana
11. Sorry Lisa... made me giggle... (ill shut up now)
12. i like tiesto! good quality! i think, if you cant mix with any of these kind of tunes, them u mustnt be as good a DJ as you'd like to think!!!! ha! loser, tis what ye get for dissin my mate tiesto dunno bout ur deep dish tho. depends which record u wer talkin about. i had a problem for a short while at the beginning of the outro to Alphazone's "Rockin' (Mat Silver & Tony Burt Remix)" where there is a space before the beats start the usual 8bar routine again. thing was uve started ur other record when the alphazone track started its 'chorus' (if ya like) and mixes thru and its all fine til the end of the alphazone 'chorus' where its beat stops for 4, and ur new track keeps playing. end result is that ur new track sounds 5 beats too far ahead of the first one, and u notice it at the end of 32beat crash, n then thers one 5 beats later. i agree it sounds confuzing but what ya gotta do is wait. when the gap comes in, u que ur record for the 5beats n then let it go again, all the while keepin the volume level on ur 2nd track down, n then fade through and it will be fine and the crash will be in sync and all that other stuff. good luck with yer mixin in t future bud 151620 thank you so much for that. its all so much clearer now.
13. A terrible thing to have happened. I did not know her that well, but we always had a laugh when our paths crossed. Ill remember Sarah a person who would go out of her way to help people even if she didnt know you that well. Always full of enthusiasm and wanting to make things happen. She was one of the first people i met on here and its extremely sad that somebody so young has passed away when they had so much to give. My heart goes out to her family and friends.
14. good stuff tony. good to see ya getting it together m8. like the sample too! ('The Gift' by The Velvet Underground) Quality lil story!

QUOTE (LTM @ Oct 7 2004, 13:23) QUOTE (LiquidEyes @ Oct 6 2004, 18:17) QUOTE (LTM @ Oct 6 2004, 16:50) Techno in my opinion is even more boring then the people that listen to it. Hard House is shit music for cocks. It's all about Melodic Trance LOL ... talk about one-dimensional perspective on music. Fair enough if the only part of music you 'get' is the melody (my mum is the same). Why don't you just listen to classical music or chart music instead of ruining those perfectly good melodies with beats and basslines? Mate, I have a huge Classical collection. Thankyou. trance nation 1-4? i love trance but i concur with lisa. you are a cock.

haha. funny as fuck
18. after reading this i had to have a listen to it (properly i might add) agreed he is a VERY talented producer and has made some groundbreaking albums. very much in a niche of his own making. i think the new album is shit. and by that i dont mean a let down or patchy. just plain shit. well produced and (its always gonna be) well mastered to sound HUGE as were all his albums, but the tracks are lame and its totally forgetable. i was looking forward to hearing an album by him with out without the dancer hanger-ons, thinking he could break his own mould, but found myself very unmoved by the whole affair. it certainly wont win him any new fans and i think given time with it it will be seen as a let down by his current fans. i think the aphex twin is a much more creative and talented producer by the way(but he doesnt have to try to be as accessable as mr. howlett)
