The end of an era in clubbing is truly upon us as Shiva hosts one of the closing parties at Canvas London and are proud to be doing so. On Saturday 17th of November, we invite you to join us on a night that will be one of the final opportunities to witness Shiva's gloriously hedonistic parties at one of London's most celebrated venues. To sign off with a bang, who better than Good Times legend NORMAN JAY MBE to be our guest of honor in the Funky House Memory Lane room - spinning the most upfront house and his own unique blend of party anthems to get the mighty Canvas well-and-truly rocking.... Alongside Norman will be clubland’s very own stalwart, Huckleberry Finn, who will be playing some of his own re-edits as well as some 'Girls FM' classics. Shiva’s head honcho, Liam D, will also be going back to his funky roots and playing some of the forgotten anthems of the past few years. In fact, all the DJs in that room including Nick Hudson, Muzz Khan and T-on-J will be looking to blow the dust off some their most prized vinyl from yesteryear and bring back some memories for clubbers who partied at Bagleys in their teens through to the current crop of Canvas' clubbing aficionados! Headlining the ever-popular Dirty / Electro room will be Shiva Resident,John Paul & also Dean Steer - Liam D's partner-in-crime from their legendary summer boat parties on the Thames. Dean is also a producer of albums for some of the biggest record labels in the UK! Both DJs certainly have a flair of churning out the finest electro. Add to the mix, Rob Alldritt, Jordan & Errol Brown, David Penn and Kevin T & Lee Richards and you complete the line-up which will provide clubbers with the dirtier and sleazier sounds of electro!! Keeping things plush, elegant and very intimate in the VIP room will be Passion FM's Jubsy, Amy Taylor, Johnny Primed, Brady, Giro and Martin Benson. It's also just been confirmed that the Shiva Panda, our official mascot, will be gracing the decks for his 15 minutes of fame - by having an exclusive set at the club. History in the making? Probably. A sight to behold? Most definitely! There are also discounts available for large group bookings and if it's your birthday and you can prove it, we might just give you free entry!! So, join us on a night that will be all about celebrating but also commemorating. A small part of the inspiration behind Shiva's name came from a house outfit of the same name. Their music had producers like David Morales, B.T, K-Klass, Loveland and Bini & Martini remixing for the likes of them. In 1995, the lead singer Louise Dean was tragically killed in a road accident. Shiva would like to dedicate this event to the memory of Louise Dean. Letting go is a difficult thing to do and to wave goodbye to the King's Cross clubbing complex will, no doubt, be an emotional experience. It's our final party here - so join us - on what will be an emotionally-charged journey through house and electro as we commemorate and celebrate the last chance to dance in the infamous Goods Yard. After Shiva's successful launch at Canvas back in April, Shiva return to the King's Cross clubbing complex for yet another night of heavenly hedonism and downright debauchery!!! Sit back and enjoy the ride.... For those of you who were lucky enough to make it to the launch, you will, no doubt, acknowledge what a 'ride' it was!!! A perfect recipe consisting of some of house music's legendary DJs and some of the hottest DJs on the circuit. With that in mind, Shiva have assembled yet another line-up which will, inevitably, tantalise your tastebuds... The DJs: Headlining the Dirty/Electro room, will be the ever-brilliant Seamus Haji, who recently hit the charts with his sublime cover of "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life". Seamus Haji has become synonymous with quality. His DJ sets never disappoint, he's a technical wizard and his productions are phenomenal. Add to that, his frequent trips over to Ibiza this Summer - we're assured he'll have a few Ibizan big-hitters in his bag.... Joining Seamus in the Dirty/Electro room will be two of clubland's most irrepressible DJs, PlushDafunk's John-Paul and Shiva founder Liam D. With Get Diverted's Rob Aldritt, the DirtyDropOutz and Errol Brown completing the line-up for that room. In the Funky/Vocal house room and on the back of his exhilarating appearance at the last Shiva, the legendary Grant Nelson returns to serve up some more exquisite house dishes that would put Gordon Ramsey to shame!!! Whilst, Huckleberry Finn, who is still celebrating a whopping 20 years in the business, shows us his house. Support is provided by the ever-consistent Nick Hudson, Alejandro Mendoza, Kevin T & Lee Richards and Martin Benson.
