Club 414 #Club 414

Club 414, located in Brixton, London, was a renowned nightclub that operated for 34 years before closing in May 2019 due to redevelopment. Founded shortly after the 1985 Brixton riots, it initially hosted reggae music before transitioning to electronic dance music in the mid-1990s, becoming a key venue for hard house, trance, psytrance, and techno. Known for its friendly atmosphere and diverse crowd, the club featured two rooms, a roof terrace, a bar-cafe, and a chill-out lounge. Although the physical venue at 414 Coldharbour Lane is now The Ton of Brix, the spirit of Club 414 continues through the "414 Road Show" events organized by its original founders, Louise Barron and Tony Pommell, as they seek a new permanent location. Club 414 was a pioneering force in Brixton's nightlife, contributing significantly to the area's late-night economy and cultural heritage.
