David Forbes is a veteran Scottish DJ and electronic music producer from Glasgow who has carved out a lasting legacy in the trance and techno world over more than two decades. Beginning his musical journey in the early 1990s on the hardcore and gabber scene, he quickly evolved into a trance specialist with a distinctive sound that blends euphoric melodies and driving rhythms. Forbes gained mainstream attention as a member of the platinum-selling dance act Public Domain, best known for the hit “Operation Blade,” and has gone on to release a rich catalog of solo work and collaborations under his own name and various aliases.
