Initially part of the Euro house group R.A.F., he gained widespread recognition as a solo artist in the late 1990s with iconic tracks such as "Komodo (Save a Soul)", "Pulsar", "Iguana", and "Lizard". Picotto's music is characterized by its driving energy, melodic hooks, and fusion of trance and techno elements. He founded his own record labels, Bakerloo SRL and Alchemy, after leaving Media Records in 2002, and also established the successful "Meganite" club night in Ibiza.
