Nu Spirit is the stage name of Welsh trance DJ and producer Rob Evans, a figure in the uplifting and tech‑trance scene who found his musical calling in the late 1990s after soaking up the vibe at the iconic Escape nightclub in Swansea. Inspired by trance legends like Paul van Dyk and local heroes, he honed his craft on vinyl and eventually played sets up and down the UK, including at London’s Ministry of Sound and on the Cream Ibiza tour, displaying a knack for reading and energising crowds. Beyond DJing, Rob has been active in producing his own trance tracks and remixes under aliases like NuSpirit and Future State, with releases such as *By My Side* charting on Beatport and collaborations that have gained support from heavyweight trance artists. He also channels his passion into community through projects like Saving Light Events, which blends music with mental‑health support, and hosts the Nocturnal Knights Radio Show to showcase trance talent from around the globe.
