Paul van Dyk, born Matthias Paul in East Germany in 1971, is a highly influential German DJ, record producer, and musician, widely regarded as one of the pioneers of trance music. His career took off in the early 1990s, and he quickly gained international recognition with his remix of "Love Stimulation" and his hit single "For an Angel." Van Dyk's album "Reflections" earned him the first-ever Grammy nomination in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category in 2003. He was also the first DJ to be named the world's number one DJ by Mixmag in 2005. Throughout his career, he has released numerous successful albums, remixed tracks for major artists, and received multiple awards, solidifying his status as a global icon in electronic music.
