Shades Of Rhythm #Shades Of Rhythm
Shades Of Rhythm is an English electronic dance music group formed in Peterborough in 1988, consisting of members Kevin Lancaster, Nick Slater, and Rayan Hepburn (also known as Rayan Gee). They rose to prominence during the early 1990s rave scene. Their self-pressed 1990 album "Frequency" spawned several singles that gained popularity in the UK charts, including "Homicide", "Exorcist", "Sweet Sensation", and "Sound of Eden". This success led to them being signed by ZTT Records. They achieved further chart success with singles like "Extacy" and their debut album "Shades". In later years, Lancaster and Slater formed the breakbeat duo the Drumattic Twins. Despite changes in the lineup over time, Shades Of Rhythm continues to perform live as of 2025 and remains influential in the electronic music scene.
