Stu Allan #Stu Allan
Stu Allan (1962-2022) was a highly influential British DJ and producer who significantly impacted the UK dance music scene, particularly in Manchester during the 1980s and 90s. He gained prominence through his work at Piccadilly Radio and Key 103, where his mixes of hip hop, hardcore techno, and house music became hugely popular, earning him a ranking as the world's No. 3 DJ by DJ Magazine in 1993. Allan was instrumental in introducing new sounds to the region, including early Chicago house, and he championed local artists. Beyond radio, he was a major draw in the club scene, particularly at Bowlers in Manchester, and later co-produced commercial hits as part of the Eurodance act Clock. His legacy continues through his extensive discography, radio mixes, and the lasting impact he had on the rave scene.
