Synthesis Technology, founded in 1998 by the late Paul Schreiber, was a prominent company in the electronic musical instrument industry. Initially recognized for their contributions to the MOTM (Modular Of The Month) format, a 5U modular synthesizer system, they later shifted their focus to the increasingly popular Eurorack format. Over the years, Synthesis Technology gained a reputation for designing and manufacturing innovative, high-quality Eurorack modules, including notable creations like the E340 Cloud Generator and the E350 Morphing Terrarium. Starting with DIY kits in the MOTM format, the company expanded its offerings, releasing their first Eurorack module in 2010. Known for their unique concepts, robust engineering, and excellent build quality, Synthesis Technology aimed to create modules that stood out in the competitive Eurorack market. Their modules were available through various resellers and their online shop, serving musicians and synthesizer enthusiasts worldwide. The passing of founder Paul Schreiber on March 24, 2025, marked a significant loss for the synthesizer community.
