Terry Farley is a highly influential British DJ, remixer, and producer who has been active in the electronic music scene since the mid-1980s. Starting his DJ career playing reggae and groove music, he was an early adopter of house music in London. He co-founded the seminal Boy's Own fanzine, which documented the emerging acid house scene, and later the successful record label Junior Boy's Own, responsible for launching the careers of Underworld and The Chemical Brothers. Alongside Pete Heller, he achieved chart success as Fire Island and Roach Motel, remixing major artists like Michael Jackson and U2. Farley remains a respected figure, known for his deep knowledge of house music and his ability to move dancefloors worldwide, continuing to DJ and produce while also curating and archiving dance music culture.
