Wanna Be A Part Of Clubbed Up?

Djs

Each week Clubbed Up has a guest dj join them for an interview along with an un-cut mix. These vary from well known djs who can be seen play at some of the countries top club nights to unknown bedroom djs, all who have one thing I common-there talent needs to be expressed to the world. Clubbed Up gives YOU the chance to have your dj-ing ability played on air, the show is regularly listened to by clublands promoters who in the past have been known to email in asking about booking the guest dj. The interview also gives the dj an excellent opportunity to promote themselves and talk about past and future gigs. Clubbed Up are dedicated to bring new talent to the club scene so if you think you have what it takes then we want to hear you!

Producers

Do you make your own music? Have you not had any feedback from labels you have posted your tracks off too? Then why not send them our way! We are looking for un-signed music from the hard dance spectrum that we can help promote live on air. The show already has regular djs who produce there own tracks, and most have received an overwhelming response from listeners, djs and record label owners. To get your tracks heard on air all we ask of you is to send them in and we’ll do the rest!!!

Club Promoters

Got your own night? Finding it difficult in promoting it? Then why not tell your target audience yourself about it. Each week we get sent emails galore from clubbers ranging from London to Leeds, from Birmingham to Scotland (Not to mention our overseas listeners) who each weekend can be found stomping away at there local hard dance establishments. This is your chance to give them the low-down on your night, possibly give away some guest list tickets, and ending the show on a guest mix from your residents. This is becoming hugely popular amongst clubs from all over the country, but we only have room for one club each week, first come first serve!

If you think you have what it takes to come on clubbed up radio, email us at either danny@clubbedup.co.uk or reds@clubbedup.co.uk and we'll fill you in on what to do next.

So who are clubbed up??

Clubbed Up is a radio show for clubbers, by clubbers. The show covers the complete range of music that falls under the increasingly difficult to define umbrella of “Hard Dance”, from Trance to Techno, incorporating Hard Trance, Hard House, and NRG the show deals with everything a Hard Dance enthusiast would ever want to hear. Produced and presented by a team of people ranging from clubbers to up and coming DJ's, all with one thing in common, the love of clubbing and the music - Especially the music!

Clubbed Up started back in September 2000 with just one hour. Presented by Maria Jones, who was thrown in at the deep end when the then-Station Manager, Kate Ramsay, suggested the station needed a club based programme. Three years later the show has morphed into the beast it is today, not only a radio show, but as a club night in Birmingham and DJ / promotions agency.

Over the past three years the show has not only featured local DJ's, but many of the industries leading figures such as Robbie Nelson (Agnelli and Nelson), Andy Farley, Justin Robertson and Lisa Lashes!

Not only are there loads of features on the show such as club listings, reviews, interviews and new music, we also air and give our views on tracks which have been produced by local DJ's. Along with running a plethora of different weekly competitions with prizes such as tickets to different club nights and CD's.

One of the main objectives of the show though, is to feature some of the many incredibly talented up and coming DJ's, from all over the country. We provide them with much needed exposure, ensuring their names become familiar not only with clubbers but numerous promoters as well.

This in turn has spawned into Clubbed Ups latest venture, launching in 2005 – Clubbed Up Promotions a DJ agency featuring the best DJ’s, that the show has brought into the limelight over the past three years. We feel it is vitally important to concentrate on this new talent to ensure that the industry we all love stays fresh. This idea is further mirrored through our highlighting of the smaller / underground nights that are being held all over the country.

In 2005 plans are also a foot for a Clubbed Up sister show, concentrating on the South of the UK. Along with more VS nights after the success of clubbed up at the likes of Housewives Choice, Toast, Pure Filth, and Venomous to name but a few.

Clubbed Up currently has a team of three people regularly working in relation to not only the show, but future club nights / charity events and promotions, with numerous additional contributors:

Dan – Head Presenter, Dj, Producer and all round nice guy (or so the Dj name suggests) you can always guarantee the cheeky comments coming from his direction and as ever VERY serious about his music

Tigger – nick named ‘lord of the underground’ as he has been on the Dj circuit since the dawn of man kind. Will out wit anyone and bizarre you with the most random of comments.

Reds – The newest member of the clubbed up crew will be bringing his knowledge of music and clubland weekly to the show. Expect the odd abuse hurling towards crap music from him-another passionate hard dance and funky house bod!
