TBH, it would for me to a certain degree. That is what will initially attract me to a meet. For me to come over Id like to deffo be going to a club with a half decent line up or music policy at least.

If however, like bukey suggested, we made it a weekender id deffo be up for some non clubbing activities.

Looking at some of the (London) meets I've been to - we've done picnics, wandered London, pubs, hotel room parties, everything... It doesn't have to be all clubbing/getting wasted - but that can be an option for those that want it.

 

I think a good trick is to try and suss out hotels that don't have receptions and have 24hr access. We've done it twice in London, and London's probably the easiest place for that kind of arrangement. It just makes it easier to pile loads of peeps into one room (like when we had 14 in the hotel @ the Elephant & Castle). That said, if we all arrange to stay in the same hotel then we won't have too many probs....

Bukey, dont get me wrong im not saying all i want is clubs and to get wasted. I just meant id like that to a part of a weekender. Im deffo up for allsorts of different stuff. We are all into stuff apart from clubbing afterall.

The times ive done sunnys etc ive litterally flew over on that day and back straight after the afterclub.

However if it was arranged i would deffo stay for a weekend and go for a meal, sight seeing, picnics, alton towers - whatever.

In a nutshell, I think we do yes.

Simply due to the fact that so many ppl are that lazy and cant make their mind up that we need someone to organise it all and hand it on a plate to ppl so to speak.

Alton Towers would be really good... But we should do it towards the end of the season (Sep/Oct) when the firework & laser display is on - it's the best in the UK and absolutley amazing...

 

I can also get some bloody great prices on AT tickets...

what i think liam is saying, is that it's nice do do some different activities - picnic, wandering around town, bowling, going for a meal, beach, walking, doing this n that, or whatever, but being what we're into, it's nice to finish the day off by hitting a club playing some extremely loud repetitive electronic music and possibly loosing the plot later that night

Bukey agreed but the only problem is we spend so long talking about this stuff and constantly putting off every idea for a few months or later in the year - they never actually happen   What we ideally need is to properly research and organise;   2 simply short term meets asap - one southern, one northern 2 long term meets - 1 in 4-6 months, 1 end of this year   and just put every effort into sorting out every single detail with regards price (and accom if appropriate) and ensure the details (especially date) DO NOT CHANGE - regardless of who can/cant make it   obviously we can do polls and chat about it all but this just delays it even further   kev and i found that just stating all the details in one clear cut post and saying 'take it or leave it' people DID make the effort as they knew they'd have to wait another 3/6 months until the next   no good having weekly or bi-weekly meets (or even monthly) meets anymore IMO - at least not until the attendance figures at meets really picks up again - and I'm sure it would so long as the meets are researched & arranged properly   This should actually be really easy - if people are up for it then it surely makes sense to just do it - its not like any of us are making anything out of it and thus we all benefit from larger group bookings etc.. - plus isnt it nice to have things to look forward to - even if they aren't happening for another 3 or 6 months in the future ...
