exactly which is why i thought why bother eh? lol

ok

we believe that there is life after death. we also believe that families can be together for eternity. we believe that when you die your spirit goes to a spirit world where it either goes to paradise or prison. the ones in paradise teach christs gospel to the ones in the prison side until they accept it. christ will return to the earth and it will be soon. when that happens everyone that was ever alive on the earth will be resurrected. their spirits reunited with their bodies in perfect condition.

then a whole bunch of other stuff happens... blahblah.gif at the end of the day we would have the last judgement by god and we would go to either the celestial kingdom, the terestrial kingdom, or the telestial kingdom (celestial bein the best) and we would live for eternity

Well obviously noone has the answers on this one, and although myself i am an atheist (not sure if thats spelt right!) I do think people are to quick to rubbish religion and an afterlife. Science is constantly evolving and what we accept as fact could change with a new discovery, the world was accepted as being flat til not long ago.... what we accept as hard science is only what we are told by scientists, teachers etc. is a fact, so doesnt that make religion just as believeable as the science explanation to death?? :uhm:

But dont forget...most "hard science" is proven by "hard facts" which can be seen / researched yourself...if you know where to look.

Religion is based soley on belief and the need to blame "higher powers" for peoples own mistakes. How many times have you seen in newspapers or heard on TV or radio about murderers that claim "God told me to do it"

And...here's another thought for you. If "God" does exsist, and people are always thanking him / her / it for saving them from natural disaters / plane crashes / etc...WHO DO THEY THINK REALLY CAUSED THEM? God apparently controls EVERYTHING on the planet so if a "natural" disaster happens...ITS GODS FAULT.

Rant over...sorry 'bout that.

But 'hard science' still hasnt disproved religion, so aren't you relying on blind faith that science will one day find the 'hard facts,' just as those with religious belief do?
