nic shes only going 24 mile away :blushing: . but its just her not being here as usual, i suppose with her being the eldest and 1st 1 too move out. its awful im hating it.

dani she going on a. nursing course so she wont be out stomping :( . they told her yesterday she will be having a drug test on a unannounced date. fair play really.

i cant talk too her about uni at the mo, cos i dont want her too see me upset, cos she gets quite homesick wen she goes anyway, i wont stand in her way

but its just her not being here as usual,

That's the thing that hurts the most ! I'm sure most of us have been through it. When I moved out for the first time, I found it really hard for the first few weeks, and it killed my Mum even more. I'm not living at home at the moment, well, I am, but you could say I'm just living here part-time at the moment as I'm working down in London Monday-Friday. I hated it for the first few weeks, just not being able to come back to my hotel and not see my Mum go in the Kitchen and put the Kettlle on to make us a cup of Tea and chat about mine / her day, I was missing home like mad. Sometimes I'd be coming home on the Friday evening, unpacking then re-packing and driving down to see my partner. This weekend I've been home for all of it as I've had weddings and events to go to for the last 4, so it's nice to actually sort myself out because working away from home and living out of a suitcase really is bloody stressfull and everything is just everywhere ! But even though I've loved being away with my partner most weekends and most of them have been pretty much on-the-go, it's nice to have the weekend at home, catch up with the family and appreciate being at home and spending time with everyone as I feel I havn't seen anyone for ages ! Point I'm trying to make is, your girl will love the responsibility of being away from home I'm sure, and she will appreciate her visits home and your bond with her will always be strong as it sounds like you are both really close. There's nothing wrong with being sad because she's moved out to go to uni, as you say, it's only 24 miles away, which is just up the road really ! I'm sure she is just as sad as you are about going, and that's a special thing to have that is. :) :huggles:

paula i did tidy weekends drug free and hardly any sleep

:P

but i know what you mean though it depends on the person

pete depends but canibis can be in the body for 6 months depending on if your a heavy smoker of it or not

other drugs vary but depending again on your usage can be anything from a month to a year in the system.

nah paula too busy with work myself and waiting on the pcso application to go through hoping it does

ive applied to be a police community support officer but i mainly wanted to do it to try make a difference to youngsters lives which is what the community police are meant to do, not go round handing out tickets to teenagers trying to dispence them out of areas but try giving them alternatives to do

no wonder kids become criminals so young these days, theres nothing for them to do and police or no one else try helping them but jus issue warnings and arrest them for hanging out with mates.

other choice is training to be a youth worker

i want to see what difference i can make with the pcso's if i get in first though.

trying to go next year though but depends if my mate stops being boring and goes to another he jus bought a house this year and moved in with his misses

he hasnt even been on internet in ages

Its normal to be upset, my sister emigrated to australia and my mum was really pleased for her but kept randomly bursting into tears and was clearly upset about it all.

It is taking a while to get used to but times change and your relationship can only grow stronger if you are still close despite a distance. And as your daughter gets more independence she'll become more like a friend...
