As Eddie continues to entertain visitors to the White Isle with his turn table trickery, he is rewarded by being short listed for this year’s Ibiza DJ Awards, as one of the best new comers.

‘ It is with great pleasure that the 9th Edition of the DJ Awards announce that Eddie Halliwell has been nominated in the Best Newcomer category, for this years DJ Awards event which will take place on Thursday 28th September at Pacha, Ibiza.’

All voting will finish at the end of August, and all the nominees will be contacted the following week on the final decision of the votes.

This prestigious awards ceremony is now in its ninth year and was the first event to solely honour and celebrate those DJs who have influenced dance music across the globe. In the past eight editions, the DJ Awards has grown to become one of the most important and internationally acclaimed events to be held in Ibiza, undoubtedly the hub of the dance music industry during the summer months. International DJ´s such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Danny Tenaglia, David Morales, Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Frankie Knuckles and Paul Oakenfold to name but a few, have all been past winners. This event continues to be a family reunion amongst the DJ collective, who have come together to celebrate the industry they have contributed so much too.

Eddie loves playing on the Island and recently stated that:

Due to Eddie’s growing following on the Island, he was asked last year to mix the ‘Judgement Sunday’ compilation. This year has been his busiest and biggest to date on the Island, with Cream asking him to mix their ‘Cream Ibiza’ Album and him playing to packed Amnesia and Eden on each visit.
