CN Recordings launch its first release on digipromo exclusively to www.trackitdown.net from today! (Full Release on 01/11/06)

Carl Nicholson has been involved with the harder edged dance circuits since the sprightly age of 15, initially as an MC for Hardcore outfits but then progressed onto DJ’ing in 1993 when the house music revolution loomed over the world of rock music and the kids swapped their Guitars for Technics SL2100’s and bandanas for glow sticks. During this time Carl studied his craft with a fine tooth comb and began his career as a DJ within the London underground scene as a warm-up (Reclaim the Streets/Jump/Self Indulgence) which slowly but surely progressed to more main slot gigs at far more prolific parties at the time (Strawberry Sundae/Sunny Side Up/Trinity).

Since then Carl has grown to become a worldwide recognized Artist within the Hard Dance/Hard Trance genres having held major residencies at Fabric(London), Matrix(Reading) and being billed alongside legends including Todd Terry, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers & Judge Jules. Carl then went on to guest at major UK promotions including Frantic, Glastonbury Festival, Miss Moneypennys, Sundissential, Wildchild, Extreme Euphoria & Heat UK, and then clocked up numerous releases on Nukleuz, Tidy Trax, Elasticman, Fevah, Species, Oblivion and Global Panic of which 6 went straight into the Top 20 of the national dance charts, and with multiple airplay on Radio 1 and having been featured on no less that 15 Compilations worldwide including the world famous Euphoria series.

Not content with just the UK, Carl has completed Tours of Ibiza, Poland, Netherlands, Australia & New Zealand to very high acclaim.

Now as 2007 beckons as new phase in Carl’s career is afoot. CN digirecordings is to launch on 01/11/2006 and the first release is to showcase collaborations with one of the biggest hard dance producers in history, INGO, and one of the biggest up and coming producers of today, CHRYSUS.

Carl Nicholson V’s Ingo – Your Time Is Up

The Tec monster that is” Your Time is Up” was written a while back now but still to this day sounds like it was only made yesterday, the way this has been achieved is that when sitting down to write this, Ingo and Carl decided to take a very different route, the plan was to take the trance elements of Carl’s sound and the techy rolling sound of Ingo and fight them off against one and other, and this they did to devastating effect. Already this release has been featured on The Tidy Boys Weekender 8 CD and Wildchild’s debut compilation to very high acclaim, and has DJ support from Tidy Boys, Charlotte Birch and many more.

Carl Nicholson & Chrysus – XEON

Carl takes the reigns with new kid on the block Chrysus, Chrysus has been causing massive waves on the Hard Dance scene of late with numerous Radio 1 airplays from Judge Jules, Tidy Boys and Amber D and huge support from label honchos Lee Haslam and Jason Cortez. “Xeon” is the follow up to their latest release on elastic man and what a blinder it is too. Techy grooves roll along this hard trance monster with quirky stabs and an acid line to die for, the build up is not as dramatic as Carl’s usual epic sound but releases like a pit-bull with attitude to bring the whole track together to awesome effect. All in all a very success release to break CN recordings into the scene.
