CTW Members Geordiee99 Posted April 10, 2007 CTW Members Share Posted April 10, 2007 Shiva - The Launch @ Canvas, Saturday, 28th April 2007 On Saturday, 28th April 2007, a new brand, “Shivaâ€, will be launched at the Canvas nightclub in London - giving house music lovers a truly tantalising line-up, a party atmosphere that takes some beating and, musically, the finest in funky, vocal, dirty and electro house. Shiva’s concept and philosophy is simple: to provide a constant stream of uplifting, feel-good and consistently high-energy house music to an upmarket, snazzy and cosmopolitan crowd - who are up for letting their hair down as soon as they come through the doors. It’s no coincidence, then, that the definition of "Shiva" is Lord of the Dance...... The line-up: In the best of the Funky/Vocal house room, Shiva have employed the services of some of the finest DJs and producers in house music to join their residents: Grant Nelson – a man who needs no introduction. Grant Nelson is a living house legend who is responsible for remixing numerous house classics of yesteryear, including more recently, “Bodyswerveâ€, under his M-Gee guise and last year's stompers "Fade" by Solu Music feat. Kimblee and "My Life" by Chanel. His forthcoming remix for fellow Shiva headliner, Nick Bridges', new single is set to do the same... The Soul Avengerz – the supreme purveyors of funky house. Their relentless pressings of consistently crowd-pleasing, peak-time stompers have delighted clubbers for the last 10 years. Huckleberry Finn – who, this year, is celebrating his 20th year behind the decks! A true stalwart of the profession. Headlining the Dirty/Electro room will be man-of-the-moment… Nick Bridges - whose smash hit, “Yeah Yeahâ€, under his Bodyrox guise, found itself causing delirium throughout clubland. Nick's next hit, produced under his “Another Chance†moniker, is “Everytime I See Herâ€. A brilliant reworking of the house classic by Shades Of Rhythm – it’s tipped to be yet another screamer on the dancefloor! Joining Nick in the Dirty/Electro room, will be the Immaculate Boys, as well as the two head honchos of Plush Dafunk and Hot & Spicy, John Paul & Liam D. Both DJs having a reputation of playing the more driving and high-energy side of house and whose desire to see a dance floor going ballistic knows no boundaries! Expect to be swept up in a sea of smiling faces… Expect to let your feet do the talking… But, crucially, expect Shiva to show you why it truly is, the lord of the dance… The launch of Shiva at Canvas, London - Saturday, 28th April, 2007.
