fuzzy Bumpz
Deeper @ Babalou Friday 11th May 8pm - 5am Evening Entertainers: Alex Miles (Bora Bora) Ladykilla ( Platform12) Jim Norman (Throb) Roast Groove Richie La Rue / Si Barber (Formula) Paul Sutters (Glamourpuss) Deeper this month sees a set from a DJ that is fast becoming a household name. Alex Miles resident at Bora Bora Ibiza is gracing us with the last set before he heads over to the White Isle, so it’s the last time you can catch him in the UK before the summer kicks in. We are also very proud to feature the breaks maestro Ladykilla from Platform 12 fame, expect a treat from him in build up to Platform 12’s big one to be held at Canvas the week after on the 16th May. Not only that, we are also very privileged to have a member of the Throb tag team coming down, Jim Norman, to give us a treat and show us what local legend that is Throb, is all about! We are also very privileged to have the Roast Groove team joining us - including Steve Rothery and the lovely vocalist Jamie Lee Wilson who have just returned from touring Russia and have just stared realising their own tracks which includes 'Bring it Down' which has just been remixed by Bruce Aisher of Suicide Sports Club fame. Check the track out on http://www.myspace.com/jamieleewilson Also behind the decks we have the Formula legends – Richie La Rue and partner in crime Si Barber dishing out more filth than you would be able to handle on a Friday night! Also very pleased to have Paul Sutters and his Glamourpuss team who never fail to impress with live musicians. Expect a night with a difference, there is something for everyone – be sure not to miss it! Doors open early, 8pm - 5am Drinks specials 2-4-1 till 11pm! Free entry before 9pm £5 after till 11pm more later... fuzzy Bumpz
Ladykilla's story for you Leo Tong a.k.a. ladykilla’s rise to success has been nothing short of remarkable. Having only first graced the decks a little over 2 years ago, this newcomer’s fresh talent is quickly developing and fast gaining recognition... Leo’s influences began in hip-hop and rock roots, definitely showing up in his sets, but his unique sound encompasses breaks, techno, electro, tech and progressive house, all-the-while delivering fat, unexpected beats and cleverly executed effects. ladykilla’s first gig ever saw him support The Freestylers. By his fourth, he earned his place as a resident and co-promoter for Platform 12, and shortly after alongside Clive Morley, as a regular at Chew The Fat! - one of the world’s most respected clubnights. Since then, he has played at legendary clubs such as Fabric, The End, Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills, Brixton Academy, and for Platform 12’s residency at The Key in London. He’s also a rather sound chap… really. Listen to a live mix for Leo here: right click and 'Save as' http://www.platform12music.co.uk/mixes/lad..._20-01-2007.mp3 TRACKLISTING: 1. Cicada - Edge 2.
