Just the One? vs BacktoBasics

Summer time and the living is easy, easy and free like a sun beached day in Ibiza. Now there's a thought. Sun, sea, sand and house music! Nice thought, well it doesn't have to be because the good people at Just the One? and BacktoBasics have teamed up once more and decided to bring a bit of Ibiza to London. The Ibiza injection will come from Sergio Serrano & Marc Gimeno from Penetra who will be playing alongside headliners Clive Henry (Circo Loco/ DC10) & Paul Woolford (BacktoBasics/ Space). Devoré Records and White Noise will be taking hold of room 2 with PUMPdaPHUNK as always making sure the beats don't stop in room 3.

 

Clive Henry may be better known as one half of Peace Division. Through the success of their highly acclaimed productions, Peace Division are now considered amongst England's finest production and remixing teams! An overnight success? No!! Clive has been clubbing for over 14 years and a DJ for over 11 years. After a couple of years regularly attending London's now legendary Shoom, Spectrum and Queens, he started running and playing at his own successful parties called Gosh: which he co-promoted alongside Rocky (X-Press2/Problem Kids). Clive is now resident at London's 'Elements' hosted by Hooj Choons as well as spinning at Fabric, The End, Renaissance, Alaska, you get the picture! Overseas, Clive has already spun this year in Toronto, New York, Miami, Portugal, Ibiza and the infamous Circo Loco at DC10 where he was resident. Forthcoming gigs include tours of South Africa and Australia!

 

Paul Woolford, 26, is the son of a jazz drummer and (apparently) an Annie Lennox look-alike - who boasts to have appeared on Stars in their Eyes. He has been making tracks since he was 15 and had his first record signed when he was 20 - "This Last Week" EP, released on Sweden's Anonym Records. He made his debut appearance on Radio 1 in October 2001 with a half-hour guest 'Hot Mix' on Danny Rampling's Lovegroove Dance Party, who, alongside Tong, Fontaine, Yousef and Lottie has played and supported Paul's production work and remixes over the space of his 43 release career (and counting!)...More recently he guested as the Hot mixer for Pete Tong's Essential Selection. Paul is currently establishing his head A&R role at What Goes Around - a label in conjunction with Yousef and Dave Beer. Paul also plays an on-going integral role in Play Music, Leeds' leading independent dance music retailer.

Joining Clive and Paul in Room 1 will be special guests from the Ibiza Club Penetra Sergio Serrano (Penetra Ibiza) and Marc Gimeno (Penetra Ibiza). PENETRA IBIZA is the first party that helps to “penetrate” into Ibiza and that invites the worlds best clubs to do their own party at the “island of the music”, their own presentation to the world, no matter where they come from. Only quality and musical accuracy, both from resident DJs as well as the clubs line-up during the year. Members include SeOne London, Newlite New York, All-stars Barcelona (Merci Barcelona) and Crystal Istanbul to name but a few. This is a very exciting line up for Just the One? Who are delighted to have such respected DJs as Sergio and Marc coming to play in room 1? One not to be missed.

 

Room 2 is a full scale mash up with some of London's and the worlds finest DJs descending upon this 500 capacity room. Headlining will be Dave Beer (Backtobasics), Kamishake (Azuli/Fiction); Harj (DTPM/Devore)

joined by White Noise crew Chris Stanford (White Noise), Antony Difrancesco (White Noise), and Dario Burelli (White Noise).

PUMPdaPHUNK are back in Room 3 with the best in funky house and soul tunes. DJs include Jeremy B, DJ Lewi and Steve Spectrum.
