CTW Members Tresh Posted August 19, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted August 19, 2002 Until it burnt down mine was without a doubt Garlands. The atmosphere and the people were unique, and you could start of with some funky stuff, before heading downstairs for some banging stuff. CTW Members Nick G Posted August 19, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted August 19, 2002 The Aquarium, Old Street, London. Fantastic small club that has a wicked sound system, nice decor, nice sized VIP room, no attitude from the staff/ bouncers and an atmosphere to die for! Oh, and did i mention it had a pool??? Why can't more clubs be as original and as inviting as this??

CTW Reviewers Wub Wub Posted August 20, 2002 CTW Reviewers Share Posted August 20, 2002 Slinky @ Opera House, Bournemouth Great atmosphere, great ressies, plus it's just a really nice night. I've spent birthdays there, celebrated exams there, and I've never had a bad time. It's also one of the few places that the music and atmosphere have moved me to tears. A proper quality place. CTW Members stryker Posted August 20, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted August 20, 2002 anyone that knows me will know what my answer to this will be. for those that don't, it's the glasshouse in leeds. i'd spent the best part of five years hanging about in so called "super clubs". the first time i went to the glasshouse it took me right back to the old warehouse parties in 88 - 90. i realised that over the years i'd lost a little of the rawness and energy i had in those days and was more concerned about the way i looked than i was about the music. the glasshouse made me realise where i'd gone wrong, it was like being reborn for me. i've never been the same since. i still take a pride in the way i look, but i'm not bothered about be surrounded by a load of beautiful people who are to busy trying to look gorgeous to enjoy themselves. it's not everybodies cup of tea, but for me it will always be my clubbing home. glasshouse, leeds. there's house, there's hard house and then there's the glasshouse. is it saturday yet? sx http://www.glasshouseuk.com Quote -------------------------------------------------- http://www.im-wasted.co.uk
CTW Members TidyTraxGrant Posted August 20, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted August 20, 2002 Sundissential is by far the best ravin atmosphere i've ever experienced in terms of friendliness, the buzz and the ravers. My favourite club though is probably Royales in Uxbridge, purely because it was the first 'Real' club i'd ever set foot in. That memory always stays. CTW Members conda Posted August 20, 2002 CTW Members Share Posted August 20, 2002 Got to mention a few here! Turnmills, London - has great regular crowd and always has top quality DJs. Also, because the DJ is not very visible in the booth, there's none of that "aerobics class" nonsense you get in some clubs where everyone faces the DJ! El Divino, Ibiza - great views of the sunrise in the morning! It has a reputation for being a bit of a poseurs club, but it has quality DJs, a good sound system too, and a wicked atmosphere. Naughty But Nice, Hereford - I've only ever been to Hereford once, but I made sure I went to NBN while I was there as it has such a good reputation. The venue is tiny, but the atmosphere is amazing! If it wasn't so far from London, I'd definitely go there more often. These are my three favourites, but you'll notice there are no Northern clubs in there! I have been to loads of places across the South (Creation (Bristol), Slinky (Bournemouth), Godskitchen (Brum), Passion (near Leicester)) but have never been clubbing Up North. Hopefully CTW can sort this out for me in the future!
