Using public transport...

Mine would have to be, hitting a COW on the train track on the way back from Creamfields the other week, yes the cow was mashed right up... had to sit waiting for 3 hours to be pushed to the next station where we were able to get on another train as the breaking system stopped working after the impact.

A close second would have to be hitting a massive truck wheel on the train track on the way to CREAM in May, because of that I missed the other direct train we were meant to get and when we got the next one, it wasn't direct to Liverpool so we missed our change over (must have been too deep in conversation) and ended up in Preston! luckily we realised before we got to Glasgow! It would have been okay, we could have gone to The Arches again!

Always seems to be every time I goto Cream, something happens with the trains!

Probably going to and from the Love Parade in Leeds in 2000 (was it?)

Going there - Huddersfield train station was heaving ! There was loads of people waiting on the platform, about 5 people deep on the platform edge, I thought I was going to land on the track! And when the train finally turned up there was a massive surge to the front and everyone behind us gave a massive "raaaaaaaaa!!!!" and pushed us all forward to try and get on. In the end we managed to get on, but with mucho respect for the poor people who were being pulled back by station security because the doors wouldn't close!

Then on the way back, we had no idea which trains were running and which weren't so we thought we saw a train which looked like it was the right colour to go back to Huddersfield (yes what a stupid idea that seems like now!) but there were no lights on. But we went inside cos the doors were unlocked, and sat down anyway for about 45 mins with a load of other munted folk, and then when the lights came on and the engine started up there was this MASSIVE cheer!!

It was well funny and a great day, made all the more interesting and lively by our wonderful public transport system. Oh if only they'd do another Love Parade... frown.gif *sob*

On the train back from Homelands this year.

All f^cked off our faces, we found an empty first class carriage and sat in there, all muntered and having a laugh.

Then a family gets on, Mum, Dad and little girl. Apparently they're going on holiday to Paris that day and, gee whizz, we've got their seats. They were quite upper class and the dad (who looked like David Dickinson) made polite conversation with us about 'all night gigs', whilst all I heard from the little girl was 'Mummy, look at the size of that man's eyes.'

Harder. Faster. Better. Stronger. Badder. Smarter. Wub Wub
