my son (and no doubt daughter will soon aswell) has mumps....he looks like a hamster

 

bloody MMR vacination obviosly didnt work

i dont know really, i know that it can cause infertility in adult males though

im sure my nephews had mumps and my mum said its best for them to have it when there younger...

Yup...thats right. Its like alot of things...measles, rubella, chicken pox, small pox...etc, etc. Once you've had it you'll never get it again.

Thats not true for all those things. You can have Chicken Pox more than once, as there are different strains of the virus. Not sure about the others!

iv had chicken pox twice, when i was a kid then last year (some of you might remember me whinging for 2 weeks solid)

Some people do get them twice but its VERY rare. MOST people get it and then they're immune.
