i agree with libby's original post. i think there are occasions when people contradict themselves.

 

before i start, i am the first to admit that i could have handled my initial posts here differently - perhaps more tactfully - but hopefully that's in the past now.

 

i have some criticism now which is offered as constructively as possible. this is not meant to single out other participants but is meant, genuinely, as feedback in the interests of growing and improving this site:

 

it is frustrating to read messages from somebody saying "no offense intended" after accusing you of being boring, whining, pointless, nosey and gay.

 

it's frustrating to see messages where people concentrate on insulting the author rather than responding to the issue. in the spirit of the world cup - the ball, not the player...

 

i wasn't going to write this because i was worried it would just piss people off more but i'm sensing a real desire to get beyond that here and create a community where people can speak their mind knowing that, even if others think it's the biggest load of old rubbish they've ever heard, they respect their right to say it.

 

i think this is a great site with a lot of promise and i look forward to seeing it grow in spades.

I see your points but can I just say a few things! Not once has anything ever got out of hand here on this forum! The only thing that did get out of hand was a few weeks ago where me and Libby had a run-in over a mis-understood post which was sorted out! Now, I know you cant please everyone on any forum, no one can get on with everyone, not everyone is going to agree with other posts but if there was ever a post that came on here deliberately slagging someone else off then it would be stopped straight away! Everything is done is a light hearted way on here, please believe that!!!
