My Nephew :(

My nephew was born on Thursday and came home on Saturday, on Monday he went back into hospital slightly Jaundice, theyve kept him in over night and he has a feeding tube in him and they have also tried to do lumber punctures (like a spinal tap) i have just been told that he is getting worse, my sister and her husband came home for a shower and to get changed but got called back!!

 

Why is everything in my life so completely [censored] up??

 

Sorry for the depressin nature of this post, i guess i just needed to vent!!

aww sweetie don't fret, when i was born i had exactly the same thing, but worse. I was lucky to be alive considering my mums background so trust me the medical technology they've got now to then is vastly improved. Even though that wont help them in their hours of need. It's comforting to know that he has medical staff that are good at their job to look after him and will do their best to make sure he is fighting fit soon again!!

Though they're small most babies have a lot of fighting spirit!!! Hope your little nephew gets better asap.

The thing to do, really, and i know it's difficult, is to try as far as possible only to be worried about the things that you can have any influence over. In the case of your poorly little nephew, instead of being very worried about him, worry about his mum, and how she may be coping, and then you will be able to do something practical, to help her, and so ease the worries.

 

This sorta works for me...and things will [censored] out, they always do, take best care hun.

Spoke to my mum today and she has spoken to my sister, there is a small improvement tho he is still very poorley!!

 

Gotta keep my fingers crossed, he is only 6days old it would be gutting for us all and so unfair if he was to be taken away so young!!

Just had a phonecall off my mum, he's gonna be ok and possibly come home on Saturday, im going to the hospital in a bit to see him!! I am so so relieved, at least thats one of my worries/problems over!!
