FINALLY got the Integrated Index Page (IIP) sorted - this could only be done once I'd finished the upgrade !

The link is the new "Entrance" link on the menu bar - I will change the main ctw site's forum to link to this. (this doesnt mean this is the main ctw page - just the main ctw forum page - i.e. the index page for the "Community" url.

 

News will go down the middle !

can i just point out this isnt my [censored] - i just applied a really neat hack from UBBThreads - who are the 'business'. I can add to it / hack it myself though.

 

This is why I switched to this software over UBB Classic - fully customizable and WELL WRITTEN

Blink - correct - its not doing anything more than whats currently there - just loads of mysql queries to do a one-shot view of the state of the forums. Not sure why Infopop (writers of UBBxxx) dont get this into their standard product - reckon they will do as its great.

 

Totally correct about only as good as its members - hence why I'm only bothering to upgrade any of this because of the members. Obviously we dont 'need' any of this but if it helps a few people then its worth doing I guess.

 

Nick - no - nothing more up my sleeve at the moment - I just put this stuff up as and when I find it. Knew this existed a month or so ago but couldnt implement it as it was only for v6.1.x - same reason graemlins werent up - I know it pissed a few people off losing them / the old board - but for me this new board means less [censored] buggering about with scripts/flatfiles, which means more time to do 'other stuff' such as clubbing more !

 

Sorry to bang on - its just that this is what i enjoy doing and for some bizzare reason i feel i want everyone to know i'm happy!
