When djing and punters come up and ask....

...for a specific tune, or to make a change to the style you are playing, do you just say yes to them regardless of whether or not you are going do what they ask, or do you just blatently turn around and say no?

Obviously sometimes its not gonna be practical to do what they've asked, like last month when I was in the middle of playing a melodic trance set, and someone came up to me and asked for Enrique Iglesias!!! uhm.gif

So was just wondering what some of you did in these situations

WTF?? If I was djing at an event & someone asked or requested a choon, they would get a glare & a retort, something like *this aint a fecking cheesy club, now do one dippo!!*

i aked sum1 at the old fridge to play organ donors - in power. it was 5:45, i thought it would go with the set - and he did grin.gif

Tell them, when they start djing, they can pick the tunes. Till then fuck off! Unless it is a good tune of course...

if its not a trouble to fit the requested tune into your set if youve got it then id try my best to play it. yes people asking for stuff can be annoying but think of the buzz said person would get if you played it, its not much to ask every now and again smile.gif

 

other than that 'will see what i can do' is the best you'll get from me wink.gif
