Careful with your use of language kether.........it's not big or clever.

As a matter of fact, most of the food served in indian restaurants is apparently bangladeshi food.

It is hard to have an 'indian' restaurant. Food coming from different parts of India is all very different. Would be very difficult having a restuarant that served them all.

India and Pakistan are completely different countries although there is a bit of a dispute over Kashmir.

India's main religion is Hindu whereas Pakistan are mostly Moslem.

Maybe Moslems aren't allowed restaurants?

I knew that most Indian restaurants were Bengali, just wondered why you don't get pakistani restaurants.

If you were to go to a true Indian restaurant then there's no way you'd be served dishes like you do in the westernised ones - far too much meat for a start.

I just find it odd that we have restaurants from all areas of the Indian sub-continent over here but are very thin on the ground when it comes to pakistani food.

A shame cos Pakistani food is very nice, but is actually very similar to 'Indian' food. I guess this is the reason why.

Gap in the market there to be exploited I feel.

After going to the mosque they could all go for some halal.

History and Geography lesson

'India' was part of the British Empire.

This was eventually given Independence.

There were several wars before Pakistan was given independence- this included too predominantly muslim lands int he north west and east of the country.

There were some more wars and then 'East Pakistan' became an independent country 'Bangladesh'...

Here endeth the lesson
