MY Opinion - Pop Idol and Simular TV Shows

No I’m not annoyed at Pop Idol and shows like that because Gareth Gates was created, although it is a good enough reason I guess.

 

What really annoys me, theses talent less pop idols, oh please they hardly know what music is, a piece of paper is handed to them with lyrics on, and they sing, I frankly see no talent in this. All TV shows of such nature should be banned, I know your argument would be, 'well how are the new talents going to get noticed?!' that's easy, hard work of course, oh yes I agree they put in hard work, all that dancing and singing and preparation, must be super tiring, but how about spending countless hours in front of a piano trying to find 'that perfect' melody all the little burst of inspiration which are mixed into your head, the time and effort spent in sorting these out and doing something constructive with them, then sitting back and watching it come together and making a true piece of music, they don’t have to do that, the have musicians making the music for them.. Garth Gates and the rest of that crew must get so fed up of being handed countless piece of paper with words on them, which ISN'T their music, oh

 

Also, what’s up with all the boy bands and that wrecking songs which have already been done?! I think that if someone re does a song it that should not be allowed back into the top 10. If your going to re do a tune, at least make it sound different, not exactly the same as the originally, or in fact, how about you just leave all the remixes to the DJ's they seem to be the only people capable of re-doing a song.

 

I laughed when I heard Britney Spears - I Love Rock and Roll, what was she thinking doing a 'pop' version of an originally heavy rock songs.

1. They're fake!

 

2. The eventual winners are [censored] !

 

3. They poison the music world !

 

4. The birds are not that nice !

 

5. Not one of them would stand a chance with me !

At least early 90's they at least tried to pretend the bands weren't manufactured. Nowadays they let the audience participate in making them for chrissakes.
